The Basel United Stadion-Management AG was founded in November 1999. It is 100% owned by the Genossenschaft Stadion St. Jakob-Park (GFS). The headquarters are located in the St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

Despite the company name having changed in 2004 to Basel United AG, the mission has stayed the same: as a service provider the Basel United AG manages and markets the stadium and function spaces of the St. Jakob-Park, and since April 2004 the ice rink St. Jakob-Arena too. The competent and smooth execution of large and small events is priority in both sport facilities.

Profits generated by Basel United AG go to the parent company GFS and are invested into the maintenance and improvement of the real estate. Moreover profits are made available to the promotion of sports and culture.

Basel United AG makes a significant contribution to the regional tourism and economy thanks to its organization of various sport and cultural events as well as its business-to-business events. The headquarters are run by 25 employees and around 350 temporary positions handling stadium services and guided tours.
